Neurofeedback Mentoring Hours
This is where the magic happens. Sure, it’s all well and good to sit through the 36-hour didactic course to get the basics of neurofeedback, but lets be honest, 36-hours of nothing but brains, qeeg, and learning equipment can be boring!
For me, mentoring was the most valuable part of my neurofeedback certification because I got to work with someone who had been doing neurofeedback for two years and had a wealth of knowledge and techniques that helped me refine my practice, and helped make me the amazing neurofeedback clinician I am today.
You need 25 hours of mentoring to complete your neurofeedback certification through BCIA, but you don’t have to complete all of the hours with the same mentor. You can do one hour with me, or 25 hours with me… whatever you want!
BCIA is flexible, but does require that mentors be board certified and have at least two years of neurofeedback practice under their belt. The sessions have to be done face-to-face, but can be distance based. I use the GoToMeeting platform for my mentoring sessions and will record the sessions for you in case you forget the words of wisdom we come up with together!
So, once you’ve completed the 36-hour didactic, mentoring is your next step! Let’s take it together.
