Counselor Extraordinaire

Bri Deckert, LPC

I have always had a love and curiosity for “the mind” as a whole. I enjoy learning about behaviors and why we, as humans, do what we do. I also enjoy learning about relationships and being able to see growth when those relationships are worked on.

When I say relationship, I don’t only mean with others but with yourself as well! Having this love for psychology drove me study it more until I decided becoming a therapist would be my end goal and I love it!

I use an integrative approach when working with clients. I understand that we are all different and have different needs. Some of the approaches I use, but are not limited to, are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Positive Psychology.

I have experience working with many different populations through Applied Behavior Analysis to psychological testing to partial hospitalization programs/intensive outpatient programs and more. Lately, I have been focusing on individual therapy with children as young as eight, teens, young adults, and adults with a myriad of mental health presentations, but I focus on grief and loss, attention and executive function difficulties, relationship and attachment struggles, anxiety, & depression.

I enjoy using visual tools in sessions such as worksheets and visual aids to provide psychoeducation and better understanding. I enjoy using these interactive tools as a form of connection in therapy. I understand the importance of trust between client and therapist.

I pride myself on creating a non-judgmental environment for my clients, while also making it a fun and safe place to be. I prioritize self-care in my daily life and encourage everyone to do the same.

I look forward to meeting you!
